BIOGRAPHY
In Cyprus it is mandatory that every young man enlist in the Cypriot Army when they turn 18. I grew up hearing about how tough those who graduated from the Navy Seals were; they were considered to be the smartest and strongest. So when I turned 18 I knew I wanted to train to become a Navy Seal. I wanted to compete with the best of the best and prove to everyone and myself that I had earned the right to wear my uniform and represent my country.
When I entered the Navy I knew that that it was the beginning of my adult life, that I would be forever changed as person. Upon entering the Navy you are taught three things: loyalty, respect, and honor. I live my life by those three words everyday and will continue to live by them for the rest of my life. In the Navy you are pushed physically, mentally, and emotionally past your limits; you have the option to quit but you are taught to never give up and those words become engraved in your head. I knew no matter how hard things got I would never give up, and once I completed a challenge my confidence grew and has continued to grow with every new obstacle that I face and overcome. One of the biggest affects that the Navy had on me was self-discipline. I learned to do things the right way instead of the hard way, be patient in order to be success and of course, NEVER GIVE UP!
I am proud to call myself a Navy SEAL.
When I moved to the United States I started training in Mou tie and although I enjoyed the sport I discovered that I had passion for boxing and decided to focus my training on becoming a boxer. I spent endless hours training for fights and gained a ton of knowledge about my body and just like in the Navy I learned that determination is key in order to be successful. I fought hard for what I wanted and it paid off when I won my first fight. Boxing boosted my confidence and was the first step towards my career in health and fitness.
I was 14 years old when I bought my first fitness magazine, Flex Wheeler was on the cover and I remember become infatuated with how the muscle in the body could transform by working out. I watched countless videos of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Flex Wheeler, and Frank Zane competing in body building competitions and knew that one day I would transform my body and compete. In January 2012 I was ready to start training for my first competition; I entered the NPC Eastern USA Men’s Physique competition and won 1st place in my class. I was overwhelmed with joy and knew at that moment that I was meant to compete. I started preparing for my second competition and decided this time to compete in WBFF’s Boston Competition in the muscle model category. I won first place again and earned by pro card. Besides graduating from the Navy Seals this was one of my biggest accomplishments. This pro card represented everything that I had worked so hard for. All of the dieting, training, and restless nights had paid off and I am now more determined than ever to continue on my journey and help others who have the same dream!
NEVER GIVE UP
